sometimes updating my xanga makes me happy
especially after fun things happen

we left on saturday morning and drove to northwestern state university in louisiana and had a session with dr. allen. he was cool and helped us alot on our music. after that we continued our journey on to pineville louisiana to louisiana college. pineville smells really bad. it's gross and humid there. weird story: both of my parents graduated from LC and my mom used to live in the dorms where the girls we're staying. and the first room that me and kara got was HER OLD DORM. how weird is that. but we ended up having to switch because the ceiling of the shower had fallen into the shower itself. it was nasty. and also my parents met in the lobby of the dorm i was staying in. that was a little weird as well.
after the two horrible nights in the dorm we drove to baton rouge. here we stayed in a comfort suites inn. that monday night we went to the mall. there was lots of random drama that night. gross. thennn the next day we went to do mission work with parkview baptist church. i couldn't really do alot due to my sprained wrist, so i went to wal mart with ann hobbs and amy johnston and a couple middle school girls. me and miss ann took random pictures. it was a wonder we didn't get kicked out. then the 6 of us went back to the church and baked for 3 hours straight. .we ended up baking like 8 dozen cupcakes and a batch of brownies. that night we had a couple of block parties for the kids in the appartments near the church. that was fun.
the next day we sang four times in a row. it was absolute madness. i also found out that my great uncle coaches baseball at the church's school. since hes been coaching they've won 9 state championships. i got to meet cute baseball boys. no big deal or anything. that night we went back to the dorms and had to have a conference with p nelly and miss ann. it resolved alot of the drama in our room. everything felt much better then.
the next morning we got up and drove to houston. we got to our AMAZING hotel at like 4 that afternoon. we all got ready and then went to the houston astros game. it was sooooo much fun.. even though we did lose. no big deal. that night was the bus pageants. that was fun as always. even though i only watched about 5 minutes of the whole thing. i was playing poker instead. then me jessica and katie got no sleep.
we woke up friday morning and packed. then we left for the houston space center. FUN. let me just tell ya. .. no for real we did have alot of fun. the maze was freaking hilarious with jessica and evan and michal. i have never heard michal scream so loud. after the space center we got stuck in some major traffic on the way home. and we made it home about seven thirty or so.
all in all it was an amazing trip, despite all the drama. but that was just the breif overview. if you wanna hear all the hilarious/embarassing stories, just ask.. because there is no way i am posting them on xanga. |
